The Winner of RBSO Violin Competition 2019

Get to know more about “Annett Sosothikul Ho”

Thai-Taiwanese Annett (Netty) began playing the violin when she was six. In Taipei, she studied with Ying-Liang Shen and won first place in the Taipei City Government Competition 2013. In 2015, she moved to the states to study with I-Hao Lee at The Juilliard School Pre-College Division. She was a participant in the IX Intentional Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians and has performed solo at Carnegie Weill Hall, Paul Hall, and Morse Hall.

She gave her first solo recital in Thailand in 2017 at Sala Sudasiri Sobha. While attending Juilliard, Annett also studied at Choate Rosemary Hall where she was the concertmaster of the orchestra which performed at Carnegie’s Stern Auditorium.

Annett is currently a rising 2nd-year student studying financial economics at Columbia University. There, she is the violinist of the Fluffy Bao Trio and the regional director of the Back to Bach Project which aims to inspire elementary school students to learn classical music. Through public charity concerts since the age of seven, Annett has raised over 1 million baht for UNICEF Thailand. She is extremely grateful and excited for the opportunity to play with RBSO concerts.




RBSO is a non-profit foundation which has set a standard for professional orchestra to become the leading orchestra of Thailand, representing the country as the “Cultural Ambassador” to perform classical, operatic, musicals, popular and Thai contemporary concerts both locally and in many countries.
