Under the Royal Patronage of HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, the RBSO Announces the Postponement of February Performances

Under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra Foundation in collaboration with the Department of Cultural Promotion, Ministry of Culture and with support from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and B.Grimm has announced that all February performances will be postponed indefinitely resulting from ongoing concerns regarding Covid-19 in Thailand.

The RBSO Foundation made this decision in the best interest of our audiences, musicians and supporters in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the Bangkok Metropolitan Authority. Due to the fact that Bangkok is classified as a Red Zone area, there are restrictions on venues with regard to capacity. This makes it unfeasible for the orchestra to perform safely and we must also take into consideration our fiduciary responsibilities.

We will monitor the situation closely and look forward to re-opening performances when it is safe and responsible to do so.
